Blake was an incredible guide and took the time to teach and explain things to Brody to make him feel comfortable throughout the entire hunt.

"For my 72nd birthday in February, my nephew, who lives in the Keys, flew me down and treated me to a hog hunt at the family ranch! The temps were in the 40s in the morning but nice in the afternoon!
It was such an awesome, and bonding, experience that I'll never forget!
The ranch, staff and guide were excellent! A top notch operation that I can't praise enough!
I highly recommend it and can't wait until I get the opportunity to visit again! Thanks!"

"Wow, what a place! The lodging and food was fantastic. I took a few minute drive to a different side of the farm to start my hunt. We kicked up the hogs from their resting places and found a good tasting hog. After that, we looked for an alligator. After looking for the size I wanted, Mason used the fishing pole method to catch and reel in the gator. A successful harvest was completed. Thanks Mason for the memories! I’m looking forward to go hunting with Lightsey again."

We did 3 hogs with rifle and the last one with spear. Amazing for the family and anyone without any hunting experience. The lodge room clean and the bathroom great to take a hot shower after hunting . Thanks !!!!!! Highly Recommended."

He shared great stories about the ranch, pointed out signs of hog activity, and made the whole experience fun and comfortable.

"We just went out on a gator hunt guided by Nate and he did amazing! We had a blast. We got to ride around the different water ways until we found one! We were out for about an hour and half until we found the right one. Nate did a great job and didn’t try to act like he knew more than he did. He was a super cool guy and I will 100% ask for him for my next guided hunt! It was a great time!"

Cory is an outstanding guide and we got on the birds immediately! As usual, a great experience plus an amazing staff! If you go; spend the night! Talking to them felt like I was talking to old friends. Michael the chef was incredible. Every meal was delicious and filling. Southern style cooking with flair. The hunt. Let me tell you OH BOY! If you’re hog hunting get ready for ACTION! These are some big mean hogs. Our guide Zach was beyond impressive. The perfect guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and was every bit as pumped up as we were about it our kills. When you go you have to ask for Zach you will not be disappointed. Lastly the rooms are exactly what you need a comfy bed and a place to store your gear. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are very well done. A sight seeing tour of all the game on the over 2,000 acres of land at sunset was spectacular. Can’t say enough great things about this place and we cannot wait to go back."

"When my hunt was booked I was told it would be on swamp buggy with dogs. The swamp buggy part of it was true but there were no dogs. We went into an enclosed area about 5 acres or so and there were some hogs in there running around and I shot one of them. Not really a hunt. It was fun and I got some meat in the freezer but not what I was expecting."

"I called with short notice to see if they could fit me in on a meat hog hunt, I was out . They fit me in with Mason, great kid and great job putting me on a nice one. He was real patient so that we could get a clean shot without collateral damage to another hog. Got a nice shot off and she dropped on the run!! Got her on cleaned up and in the cooler in no time!! First hunt on the ranch for me but 3 time customer, always a perfect day!! Recommend highly to anyone!!"

"My friend and I were on a wild hog hunt today (Feb 2, 2023) and are very happy. The hunt was over fairly quickly as we spotted shooter hogs early, and made good shots. Our only negative was that the hunt went so fast (less than an hour overall) that we didn't see much of the area. When we hunt again we'll bring more hunters to extend our time in the bush, or combine a hog hunt with an eco tour.
The staff at Lightsey was excellent! They addressed all of our questions and were always very professional. Their booking process worked perfect for us and they communicated well; Some of the best customer service I've had with an outfitter. Special thanks to Jessica and Pedro.
